Filter Only Vehicles WantedHeadway Filter: By allowing the exclusion of vehicles wilth a headway (distance between successive vehicles) less than a given time removes congested traffic from the report and gives true, free flowing statistics. You are also able to exclude vehicles that are rapidly changing speed and are being read by the radar as another vehicle. The default is to ignore headway, however you can change the headway setting from 0 to 8 seconds between readings.Speed Range: This new and unique speed range filter allows you to include only those vehcles travelling within a specified speed range to be processed from the raw data into the database. This will allow you to exclude very low and very high speed vehicles from unduly affecting speed statistics. 
What does this accomplish?A more accurate pattern of true traffic flow is accomplished as well as eliminating vehicles from the extremes which tend to confuse reports and data. |
