CALLING ALL HAMS DE K3RZD

Gather all those ham-related items that are just taking up space or are not being used. Look around the shack to the find those goodies that could be turned into cash instead of taking up space.

Starting January 18th, 2006 and for every Wednesday following, there will be a swap net from 7 PM until 8pm on 147.100Mhz. If you have something to sell (non commercially) and related to Ham radio, please join us. You may present up to two items each week for sale or bid.

The items will be listed on i-ham.com for no charge for a period of thirty days if you need to refer to the items after the net. (This might take a day or two after the net to be presented on i-ham.com). This is a temporary service provide to the club by i-ham.com to help promote the swap meet and further participation in amateur radio and the Borderline Amateur Radio Club.

At this point, I am trying to get permission from the Hams at SINBAD to link to their system for greater coverage of the swap net. If you are unable to join us for the net on Wednesdays, you may enter the items for sale by mailing the information to me: K3RZD, George Ingram, 128 North 100 West, Price, UT 84501, 435-613-0350. Please see my email address at the bottom of the page.YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A MEMBER OF OUR CLUB TO PARTICIPATE - But, we would love to have you as a member.

The auction for any items in the auction list, will be the last Wednesday of the month at the end of the swap net, 8PM. The auction will start 25 January 2006. The Auctions are for items that are hard to sell, items that would generally sell slowly or for any other reason, including having fun.

Rules that we will observe. ( at least in the beginning - I am sure they will be revised. )

  • Amateur Radio equipment and related items only.
  • No illegal equipment, i.e. 10meter Amps, 11meter Amps, mega-Amps, police -CB bastardized transceivers, etc.. No Want ads here please (use the QRZ.com Wanted board).
  • POSITIVELY NO COMMERCIAL OR FOR-PROFIT LISTINGS
  • By entering your item for sale or auction you agree to answer questions about your equipment to interested parties in a timely manner by radio, phone and/or e-mail response.
    • The information needed to sell on the net is:
  • Your call, name and phone number. (For best results, include your email address.)
  • We will have to verify your call and/or real name before we accept your item for sale. ( If not known to us )
  • ITEMS LISTED FOR SALE WITHOUT A VALID CALL SIGN OR VERIFIABLE NAME WILL BE DELETED. And you will be unable to avail yourself of this service unless it was an honest mistake.
  • The name of the item for sale or bid and it's age.
  • The item's condition and description. Be explicit and honest !
    • PLEASE give as much information about the item as you can. Doing this will keep down the number of phone calls and e-mail questions you receive. Please give the particulars about your equipment (i.e. low band transceiver) since some Hams will not recognize your item by its model number alone.
  • The price asked for a sale item or the bid starting price (this is also the reserve price).
  • If you have digital images, get them to me along with the above information and they will be posted on i-ham.com. Please try to keep the image size under 60 kbytes.
  • Shipping or delivery of the item to the buyer is the responsibility of the buyer, unless otherwise agreed to by the parties.
  • I strongly suggest that you make arrangements to see and test the item before purchasing it or bidding on it. Remember - Buyer beware!
  • B.A.R.C. or K3RZD DO NOT warranty any item or sale for any reason. We do not endorse any individual or commercial venture in any way.
  • B.A.R.C. or K3RZD reserve the right to refuse any item or any individual from participating in the swap net at any time. Pleeeeeease let's not make this necessary.
  • Once your item is sold or no longer available for sale, Contact K3RZD@ingram-tech.com or phone 435-722-2597. Give your ITEM NUMBER and say "THIS ITEM IS SOLD" or "THIS ITEM IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE" . This will be verified and the item will be removed from the FOR SALE list.


  • How the Swap Net Will be Organized
    •

      The swap net will be an informal net. Check ins will be called for by net control at which time please give your call phonetically and your first name. After check in, you will be called by net control to list your item for sale or auction (state which). Give a good description of your item(s) for sale and the asking price. (Remember two items only. A station such as transceiver, VFO, speaker, power supply and tuner would count as one item.) Then, please give your call, name again and your phone number, also if you want, your e-mail address. Net control will verify your items, give you an assigned item number for each listing and proceed to the next check in. We'll see you there, won't we? Our regular net meets every Monday at 9PM on 147.100 +600 no tone. Please come and join us. We are located in North East Utah. The 147.100 repeater is located on Blue Mountain near Vernal Utah.

    • Kenwood 820S with digital display ( The display is a little flakey until it's warmed up then it's fine--- needs to have the board soldered again) Two extra NEW final tubes ( I bought them in case I would need them).  The ones that are in it now are in excellent shape.
