The oil painting of Lincoln is on wood and offered for sale.  This painting has been restored by the conservator Paul Gratz of Doylestown, PA.

The Lincoln painting is unsigned and has been in my family for roughly 88 years. The painting dimension is 24” H X 19” W and is painted in oil on board (wood).   I believe it was a painting by George Peter Alexander Healy and was painted in 1877 or 1878 as one of six paintings he did of Lincoln to fund his trip back to Europe and give his wife money for support while away.  This painting was purchase by Milton Schouyer [sic?] from the Stotesbury Estate for my Grandmother in approximately 1922.  This painting resided at my Grandmother's in Germantown, Philadelphia and then, on her death, was given to my Mother where it resided in Southampton, PA until her death August 2007.  The painting comes with the original frame as pictured below.  I have scans in 600 DPI and if you would like to see these scans (approximately 25Mbits each)  A viewing of this painting may be made by appointment only.  Please contact us at george@stamptera.com or at 435-613-0350.

I have included images of the painting before and after restoration.
